Jan died, quietly and without pain, at 9:15 PM on November 14. She had struggled in recent months with Alzheimer's, Pancreatic Cancer and COPD. Our daughter Martha was with me during the final weeks of Jan’s life and was an enormous help to both of us during a trying time.
Jan and I were married for 64 years and shared many joys. Her passing has left a huge hole in my life. I can only hope that the passage of time and my memories of our happy times together will dull the pain of her absence."
